Silent Valley is a national park located in Kerala, India. It is located in the Nilgiri Hills and has an area of ​​89.52 square kilometers (34.56 square miles). It is surrounded by an area of ​​148 square kilometers (57 square miles). There are some rare animal and plant species in this national park. In 1847, botanist Robert Wight discovered Silent Valley National Park. It is located at the junction of Mannarkkad Taluk in Palakkad district, Nilambur Taluk in Malappuram district in Kerala and Nilgiri district in Tamil Nadu. Inside. Kalipuzha Wildlife Sanctuary, New Amarambaram Sanctuary, Nidumkayam Rainforest in Nilampur Taluk of Malappuram District, Attappadi Sanctuary and Mukuti National Park in Nilgiris district of Palakkad District Manakad Taluk are around Silent Valley National Park. Mukurti Peak and Anjinda Peak, the fifth highest peak in South India, are also nearby. The Bhavani River, a tributary of the Kaveri River, and the Kuntipuzha River, a tributary of the Bharatapuzha River, originate near the Silent Valley. Kadarundi River is also located in Silent Valley National Park.
